WARMING-UP:

Basic Equipments There is no need for any other specific equipment, other than good shoes (preferably running shoes) and clothes that your body feels comfortable with and doesn’t hinder or restrain you from moving about.

General Advices

-Safety always. Learn the basic techniques of landing safely.

-Repetition is important. Movements are repeated until they feel natural.

-Condition your body. Work on improving your weakness.

-Evolve. Listen to your body and progress according to your capability.

-Be alert when practicing, to yourself and in your environment.

-When practicing jumps and landings, look for grass, sand or mats for softer landing.

-Be always open for new learning and teaching.

-Have a good time when practicing or in training.

Warm-up Exercises

-Basic stretching exercises (from head/neck to shoulders, arms and hands, waist, to legs, ankles and foot stretching exercises)

-Running, Jogging and Sprinting

-Quadrupedal Movement (QM) which is the combined movement of arms and legs. It is executed by positioning your body on all fours (hands and feet) on the floor and walking in a straight line. Just like cats do.

-Hanging onto a wall using both your hands and feet not touching the ground. Remaining stationary in that position for as long as your arms and legs can handle your body weight. This exercise is used for arms and leg strengthening.

-Handstand. For shoulder, arms strengthening and body balance.

-Climbing

-Abdominal exercises such as pull-ups and sit-ups

-You can also do other such exercises involving your whole body to stretch and strengthen it. Both disciplines involves whole body movements so be sure to stretch and strengthen everything (from head to foot).

Warm-up exercises are essential to avoid or lessen the chance of injury during practice or training. It also helps in the strengthening of your body, and makes it become limber when executing movements. Start slowly and pay attention to your joints, as getting in a sweat without spending too much energy is a sign that the warm-up has been well done.

Cooling-down Exercises
To end every training session, remember to perform cooling down exercises such as breathing steadily and doing basic stretching exercises. It helps to relax your body after training.
